4th of July Decorations: American Flag Flower Arrangement | Pottery Barn

Expert Floral Designer, Nico De Swert, shares a unique way to make 4th of July decorations using Pottery Barn’s Vintage Soda Crates and carnation flowers. This gorgeous American flag flower arrangement is guaranteed to brighten up any Fourth of July celebration.

Here’s what you’ll need:

4 Pottery Barn Vintage Soda Crates
12 Dozen White Carnations
8 Dozen Red Carnations
Plastic Liner
8 Blocks of Floral Foam
1 Can of Blue Floral Spray
Pins and Paper

First, line each wooden soda crate with a plastic garbage bag. Fill the soda crates with floral foam, trim the extra lining, and you’re ready to start making your patriotic flower arrangement.

Cover the upper left crate with blue carnations (If you can’t find them in the store, simply use a floral spray or food coloring). Fill the remaining containers with red and white carnations for the 13 stripes. Cut 50 stars out of white cards, and using a blue floral pin, stick each star onto the blue carnations.

That’s all it takes to make your own 4th of July décor. Although homemade patriotic decorations can be a pain, this quick and simple American flag flower arrangement is a fun way to brighten up the celebration!
